We were the guests of honour at the Royal Northern and Clyde Yacht Club in Glasgow, Scotland, to share our story of how we sold everything we owned and bought a sailboat to live on. We have spent the last three years sailing around the Caribbean islands, through Central America and have now sailed across the Pacific Ocean to French Polynesia.
It hasn't all been easy - we've run aground, been blackmailed and faced bigger storms that we ever hoped to see, but it's all been worth it. We've learned to do our own fibreglass repairs, built our own solar rig, rescued our boat from charter into a true bluewater cruiser and we've laughed at ourselves the whole way along!
