The Pacific Ocean doesn’t play games — and this episode [Ep187] proves it. After leaving the remote atoll of Tongareva in the northern Cook Islands, disaster struck when our brand-new spinnaker ripped underway. Forced to stop for urgent repairs, we found ourselves racing against the clock, with storms on the horizon and no way to make fresh drinking water.
From here, we push 500 miles across open ocean — chasing safety, battling the elements, and sailing further off the beaten path than ever before. 🌊
⸻
🌍 In This Episode:
• ⛵ Real-life challenges of sailing the Pacific — gear failure, weather windows, and water shortages.
• 🏝 Leaving the untouched paradise of Tongareva, Cook Islands.
• ⚓ Facing one of the toughest passages yet — with no safe harbors until we make landfall.
• 💭 Reflections on life at sea and why the remote Pacific still calls to adventurers like us.
