ANCHOR FAIL at the WORST POSSIBLE TIME! [Ep103 RED SEAS]

We sailed overnight from one atoll to the next then arrived through the pass as a storm arrived. We had to motor through the lagoon without being able to spot any coral bommies and at times the current was so strong we couldn’t even move the boat forwards.

When we arrived to our anchorage we got our anchor caught on a rock and then found ourselves drifting through shallow patches while Brioni dived in to free the chain. After some big winds came through (sustained 40kts for three days!) we added a stern anchor to make sure we didn’t swing and run aground on a coral patch nearby.

We love living in paradise but sometimes it doesn’t love us!
