Ep. 130 ~ Join us as we continue our Mediterranean adventure, living full-time on our catamaran with our blind dog Zoë. In this episode, we sail to the breathtaking island of Skopelos in the Sporades. Known for its stunning natural beauty and the famous “Mamma Mia” filming locations, Skopelos is the perfect place to explore on land and sea.
After arriving in Skopelos, we spend a few days in the charming town and then rent a quad to explore the island’s scenic landscapes. From exhilarating rides up winding, rocky paths to the panoramic mountain views with crisp, cool air, we’re soaking in every bit of nature. We also discover some of Skopelos' beautiful beaches and anchorages with crystal-clear water, traverse steep and curvy roads, and visit peaceful monasteries tucked away to the east of the city. We also get up close to the bustling ferry traffic in the harbor, feeling the power of turbulent waters as large ferries pull in and out.
Before setting sail to Oreoi, on the northern coast of the island of Evia, we make a memorable pass by the iconic church perched on a cliff – a recognizable spot from the “Mamma Mia” movie. Stay tuned till the end for a special photo album of our time on Skopelos.
