Ep. 151 ~ Imagine waking up on a catamaran in the heart of the Greek Ionian Islands, the warm Mediterranean sun rising over Lefkada. In this episode, we take you with us as we live the dream — sailing full-time, exploring new anchorages, and discovering the magic of life as a live-aboard.
Starting in the vibrant town of Nydri, we hike to the famous Nydri waterfall, now a quiet trickle after a long summer. With a rental car, we roam Lefkada’s winding roads, scouting the new marina at Vassiliki and driving up to the highest peaks to gaze out toward Preveza, where we will spend the winter.
The real adventure begins when we set sail for Meganisi. We drop anchor and stern tie to the town wall in the peaceful harbor of Vathy, launch the drone for stunning aerial shots, and dive into crystal-clear waters on the northeastern coast. From there, it’s back to Lefkada’s cozy Sivota, and then onward to the colorful, postcard-perfect village of Fiscardo on Kefalonia.
