The Evripos Bridge, connecting Evia Island to the mainland, is not only a marvel of engineering but also home to the famous Euripus Strait phenomenon, where tidal currents dramatically change direction multiple times a day.
With the mast of our catamaran towering too high to clear the bridge, we had to wait until late at night for the drawbridge to open, timed perfectly with calmer tides and currents.
