This episode takes an unexpected turn as we arrive in Vathy, Sifnos, drop anchor, and suddenly—our throttle handle breaks off in my hand! Acting fast, we secure the boat while figuring out how to fix the throttle malfunction, with help from our friend on a buddy boat who has dealt with the same issue before.
After the adrenaline rush of our sailboat repair, we take a scenic bus ride to Apollonia, the charming hilltop town of Sifnos, Greece. Wandering through its quaint streets, traditional tavernas, and ancient pathways, we soak in the culture before heading back to the anchorage. To top off the days, we relax on our friend’s boat, watching other sailboats anchor, witnessing everything from hilarious docking mishaps to outrageous boating blunders.
