From Bamberg’s perfectly preserved UNESCO-listed Old Town and medieval streets to Leipzig’s powerful monuments and layered history, this journey is all about walking, observing, and letting a place reveal itself.
We visit iconic landmarks like Bamberg’s Altes Rathaus, cross centuries-old bridges, stop at the massive Göltzschtal Viaduct, and reflect at Leipzig’s Holocaust Memorial and the towering Völkerschlachtdenkmal. Traveling in winter means fewer crowds, moody skies, and a deeper connection to the cities—if you don’t mind the cold.
