E231 - Cruising the Maldives | Beyond the Luxury Resorts
After clearing into Malé, we set off to explore the spectacular islands of the Maldives.
Our first stops are Guraidhoo and Fulidhoo, where we wander through the small island villages, walk the beautiful beaches, and experience everyday life in the Maldives. Along the shoreline, we encounter the friendly stingrays that visit the beaches each day before heading to a nearby reef for an unforgettable swim with gentle nurse sharks.
Returning to Crossroads Marina near Malé, we explore the bustling capital, stock up on fresh provisions at the local markets, and refuel No Regrets II before continuing our adventure.
Before departing, we tackle one final maintenance job, replacing the seized top bearing on our screecher furler. With smooth furling restored, No Regrets II is once again ready for the next passage.
From vibrant island communities and incredible marine life to essential boat maintenance, this episode showcases both the beauty and the realities of cruising the Maldives. 🏝️⚓🦈

Hey there! We’re Chris and Jo, an ordinary Aussie couple living our extraordinary dream aboard our Seawind 1260 since January 2019 and now we continue from 2024 aboard our new 1370!
Our adventure began with an unforgettable journey down the east coast of Australia, followed by a sail to the stunning New Caledonia. In 2020, we continued our exploration further north, and by 2021 and 2022, we circumnavigated Australia, discovering breathtaking locations along the way.
Having previously owned fishing and water-skiing boats, our passion for sailing deepened after crewing in South Australia, leading us to make the leap into full-time living at sea.
