After dressing No Regrets II with every flag we own, the Jambatan Angkat drawbridge in Kuala Terengganu is opened especially for the Sail Malaysia Rally to enter the marina β a truly spectacular sight! π€π
With traffic stopped and locals lining the bridge, we felt like royalty sailing through, waving to the crowd as we passed beneath. A quick drone flight captured the amazing views of the drawbridge, marina, and city from above β what a welcome!
During our stay in Terengganu, we explored Chinatown, wandered through quiet night markets, and joined the rally for a cultural tour that included:
π Visiting the local markets
π¨ Watching traditional batik dyeing at the NACC Batik Pavilion
ποΈ A tour of the Kuala Terengganu Museum, complete with a welcome lunch, local dance performances, and craft demonstrations
Before clearing out of Malaysia at the Sultan Mahmud International Airport, we tackled one last challenge β refuelling No Regrets II by jerry cans from the dock. Always an adventure! π
