E190 - Port Klang to Phuket – Fast Currents, Storms & Floating Koh Haa Island!
After leaving Port Klang, we aimed for Pangkor Island, but with the conditions against us, we had to adjust our plans. As night fell, we made a last-minute stop in the Bernam River—only to be surprised by how fast the river currents became when the tide turned. It was a tense night keeping watch over No Regrets 2 as the anchor strained against the rushing water. 🌊⚓
At first light, we resumed our sail north, weaving through busy shipping lanes, dodging thunderstorms, and pushing steadily toward Thailand.
Before arriving in Phuket, we made a magical stop at Koh Haa (Five Islands), where we found crystal-clear water, colourful coral, vibrant fish life, and even a floating island to explore. 🐠🏝️ It was the perfect reward after a few challenging days at sea!

Our adventure began with an unforgettable journey down the east coast of Australia, followed by a sail to the stunning New Caledonia. In 2020, we continued our exploration further north, and by 2021 and 2022, we circumnavigated Australia, discovering breathtaking locations along the way.
Having previously owned fishing and water-skiing boats, our passion for sailing deepened after crewing in South Australia, leading us to make the leap into full-time living at sea.
