Leaving Crab Bay we sail into Port Stanley and anchor in the shallow sandy patches at Suaro Island. With a strong wind change we are swung back towards the coral reef with only a few metres clear. Diving the anchor in the morning we ensure our chain is clear before checking on other anchors to discover why I will not recommend this anchorage as the coral extends very deep away from the island. During the dive I come across a huge mesmerising school of Long Jaw Mackerel . With our anchor free we head to Walla Island.

WHO ARE WE?
We’re Chris and Jo and we have been living on our Seawind 1260 since January 2019. In our first year we bring our yacht down the east coast of Australia and sail it out to New Caledonia. After cruising further north up the east coast of Australia in 2020, we decide to circumnavigate Australia during 2021 and 2022.
We had previously owned fishing and water skiing boats, but after a couple years crewing in South Australia we decided to jump right in and make a sea change.
We are just an ordinary Aussie couple exploring what this great world has to offer and hope that we can inspire others just as we were by watching other YouTube channels to follow our dreams.
