E132 - Catching A HUGE Tuna And The Abandoned Town of East Pillinger
We leave Port Davey and head north to Strahan and Macquarie Harbour. Along the way Chris dops a line and hooks a HUGE Southern Bluefin Tuna. After a quick look around Strahan, we head further into Macquarie Harbour to seek shelter from a westerly change that brings strong winds to 45 knots. With improving weather we explore the abandoned town of East Pillinger and walk up Bird River following the old steam train railway line.

WHO ARE WE?
We’re Chris and Jo and we have been living on our Seawind 1260 since January 2019. In our first year we bring our yacht down the east coast of Australia and sail it out to New Caledonia. After cruising further north up the east coast of Australia in 2020, we decide to circumnavigate Australia during 2021 and 2022.
We had previously owned fishing and water skiing boats, but after a couple years crewing in South Australia we decided to jump right in and make a sea change.
We are just an ordinary Aussie couple exploring what this great world has to offer and hope that we can inspire others just as we were by watching other YouTube channels to follow our dreams.
