E114 - Docklands Marina Melbourne for Christmas & New Years Fireworks
We head into the @royalyachtclubofvictoria4881 Royal Yacht Club of Victoria and head off to explore Melbourne by car. We visit Geelong & Queenscliff to the west, and Arthurs Seat, Fort Nepean and the old Quarantine Station to the east. After a quick sail around Port Phillip Bay, we head back in under the West Gate Bridge staying at Docklands Marina in the heart of Melbourne to celebrate Christmas and sit right under the spectacular New Year’s Fireworks show.
WHO ARE WE?
We’re Chris and Jo and we have been living on our Seawind 1260 since January 2019. In our first year we bring our yacht down the east coast of Australia and sail it out to New Caledonia. After cruising further north up the east coast of Australia in 2020, we decide to circumnavigate Australia during 2021 and 2022.
We had previously owned fishing and water skiing boats, but after a couple years crewing in South Australia we decided to jump right in and make a sea change.
We are just an ordinary Aussie couple exploring what this great world has to offer and hope that we can inspire others just as we were by watching other YouTube channels to follow our dreams.
