E10 - New Caledonia Here We Come
We say goodbye to Millie as she heads home to Adelaide.
We prepare the boat for our first ocean passage from Australia to New Caledonia. We install our extra 650 watts of solar panels, increase our house battery bank, upgrade our dinghy motor, install the deck wash pump, service the engines, swap the jib for the new genoa.
After waiting almost 2 weeks for a good weather window, the Down Under Rally departs Southport Marina, Brisbane.
After having a few issues in the crossing, we arrive at Ilot Maitre New Caledonia after 7 days at sea.
