Low Isles, Snapper Island and Smugglers Cave - With a Few Dramas! Sailing Queensland Heading North
Welcome back aboard Moor R & R for this week's Adventure! Episode 44
Finally… the time has come.
After spending far too long in Cairns, we’re finally lift the anchor and leaving the city behind for the last time.
From here, it’s north — and we’re not looking back.
But, as we’ve come to learn, cruising rarely goes exactly to plan.
Not long after leaving, we find ourselves dealing with a rope tangled around the Code 0, and things get a whole lot more interesting when we have a close encounter with a tanker ship.
But it’s not all drama.
Along the way, we meet some of the locals, explore some pretty special places, and visit Queensland’s very first lighthouse.
Then we make our way to Snapper Island, where we set out to find the mysterious Smugglers Cave.
And if that’s not enough, we launch the tenders and head deep into the Daintree River, surrounded by one of the most spectacular landscapes on the Queensland coast.
So, with Cairns finally behind us and the adventure continuing north…
