Practicing heavy weather tactics in moderate weather is a great way to fine tune your boat and see what works and what doesn't. On this past voyage we encountered squally conditions but needed to maintain our heading so running before the wind was not what we wanted to do. Forereaching is a great way to make it through tough conditions without beating up the crew and boat. Always know your boat and test your skills and tactics in moderate weather. Thanks for watching!
