Our length of stay granted to us was at an end. We had to leave the USA and leave our Floridian friends and We feel that ACUTELY. We left with a crew of 3, me the beautiful Margarida and Tim the davit man. There was no weather window for us just the fact that there were no tropical waves or disturbances near and the boat had the minimum safe conditions to Sail us to Isla Mujeres, Mexico. A crossing that should have taken 4 days took us 8 long days instead and a broken motor. A shakedown cruise indeed!
The focus now is fixing the motor and discovering what went wrong before we continue this big adventure.
