travel, teak, toerail, hull, dancing, jumper cables, cheeky
It's hurricane season so we doubled up our dock lines before heading out to the west coast. Visiting California and Washington was a blast. Perfect weather and lots of pelicans in San Diego. Seattle brought flying fish at the Pike Place Fish Market and a wall of gum-yuck. Arriving back home we were pleased to see Isabella and all systems were working well. A fender rubbed black residue on the hull. With some buffing and scrubbing, Steve was able to remove the stubborn sticky substance. Continuing clean up, we put a couple of coats of polyurethane on some of the teak in the cockpit and touched up the toerail with a coat of Sikkens Cetol. And then it rained, dang it! Hopefully, the poly and Cetol had enough time to dry. Time will tell.
