When Dreams Become a Reality!
We can’t believe this day has finally arrived! We have been working tirelessly on our 2001 Hunter for the past 11 months with a dream and a goal of traveling the world with her. Ok, maybe not the world right off the bat, but to the Bahamas for starters. There were days that made us want to give up and throw in the towel and days that made us feel like we could fix anything. We learned how to communicate with each other better and be more understanding when trying to deal with the situation at hand. We have touched almost every last bolt, screw, hinge, gasket, and the list goes on and on. We feel so safe on our floating home and we can’t wait to see what are Honu can do and the places we will go.
It's funny when you finally have a set date and time, a deadline for leaving, and all the sudden you can remember all the crazy stuff that you wanted to do but never got around to. I think it has something to do with that fear of untethering and finally letting go. It is not easy to take that jump for the first time. But with all our adventures we grab on to each other and leap.
Here we go, Honu Time is now going south!
