Entering the DANGER ZONE
We are sailing through one of the most dangerous areas in the Atlantic Ocean. Orcas have been terrorizing sail boats near the Strait of Gibraltar since 2020. Nearly 700 incidents and at least 5 boats sank. This has played heavily on all our brains since we embarked on this adventure. No one knows why the orcas are attaching boats or how to deter them.
All we can do is try to scare them away if they come near and hope that these 13,000 lbs behemoths don’t send us to the bottom of the ocean.
