What a wild ride! We learned so much on this trip and we solidified our confidence in the knowledge we have acquired so far. Like anything you study for, it’s super cool when you can put it into practice.
I think that is the biggest part of facing your fears and shattering your glass ceiling.
You never know what your limits are until you have the opportunity to test it and just like that your limits become less and you have a new bar to reach.
We are so happy and thankful that we got to crew on this beautiful boat. We are no longer mystified by the over night watches and the great unknown of just bringing out in the ocean. Now don’t get me wrong, I am not saying that will ever take it lightly on a crossing or that we have mastered the ocean. We just now have experience in something we have only talked and read about and raised our bar a little higher.
