Sailing charter almost ruined by tropical storm...
In the days leading up to our recent bareboat sailing charter in the British Virgin Islands, the weather forecast predicted severe conditions, including a low-level hurricane. We flew into St. Thomas and took a ferry to Tortola a few days before our charter was set to begin. Fortunately, the weather held up, and we ended up with perfect sailing conditions despite the gloomy forecast. We are a blue collar couple who enjoy traveling as much as our bank account and busy lives will allow. We love turquoise water, rum, and every place in the Caribbean that we have dipped our toes into.
