40 - Marlin Tag and Release Program

On our passage from Tonga to Fiji we hooked a lot of marlin. Notice I didn’t say we CAUGHT a lot of marlin. Over 3 days, we had 5 hook ups and lost all of them, along with 3 lures. Professional deep sea fishermen we are not. Watch, learn from our mistakes and perhaps offer a bit of advice!
The passage itself was a good one, with fairly easy sailing. We got to sail wing on wing for a while, but had the most fun when it clocked around to a beam reach. But the best part of the passage? When some dolphins showed up to welcome us to Fiji.
