Welcome to Out Chasing Stars! We're Admiral Amy and Captain David and we're currently exploring the world on s/v Starry Horizons, our Fountaine Pajot Helia 44 catamaran. We started out (nervously!) watching our boat get launched in La Rochelle, France in October of 2014. Since then we've completed an entire world circumnavigation, sailing over 37,000nm, and documented it all here on YouTube. We started making these videos to show our family and friends what life was like on a sailboat, and we're still amazed that other people have also started following along. It's been so much fun to share our adventures and we love reading all the comments and support! There's a lot of world left to see so don't forget to check back in and subscribe! For almost nine years, we’ve made videos documenting our sail around the world. Having you along with us for the adventures, the challenges and all the MANY things we’ve learned made the journey infinitely more meaningful.
But all good things come to an end. So with heavy hearts, we’re announcing that this is the end of the Out Chasing Stars YouTube channel.
It takes an immense amount of time and effort to produce these videos. More and more, we found ourselves wanting to devote that time to other projects. Something had to give.
We’re not done yet with a life on the water. We still have a passion for exploring this beautiful world and meeting so many incredible people. Keep an eye out for Starry Horizons and be sure to stop in and say hi!
