We leave Deception Bay and make our way to Langii Gorge. It’s a difficult place to visit because you can’t get all of the tides in your favour, so we head in at high tide to see the rock formations. An advantage to going in at this time is that we are able to cruise down the gorge which is absolutely beautiful.
We leave Langii and make our way to Montgomery Reef and the beautiful cascading waterfalls which appear when the tide drops.
Then we pass the Iron Islands and head into The Gutter and down the notorious Koolan Channel with its strong tidal whirlpools.
A quick stop at Silver Gull Creek to wash everything and it’s on to Crocodile Creek for the second time.
