We start to make preparations for leaving the Kingdom of Tonga to sail to Norfolk Island via the beautiful Minerva Reef. We’ve heard that the crayfish are fabulous on the south reef so we’re going to check it out.

We pick up a few last minute food supplies and do the final boat jobs that need to be done for the next passage.

Magnus finally manages to fix the problem which is causing Izzy, the engine, to continually fill up with salt water! The autopilot clutch is fixed, yet again. We’re hoping it will make it all the way to Australia. The sails get a few stitches, hatches get resealed and Nutshell gets a big tidy up.

We know that Australia is very strict with quarantine when entering, so give Nutshell a good clean and clear out unwanted and not needed items, in preparation for Australian customs.

Wendy makes a new courtesy flag for our Norfolk Island arrival.

Oh, and we show you how convoluted the process is for finding customs to check out of Tonga!

Thanks for watching and following along with our adventures.

Wendy and Magnus
