We sailed to one of Greece’s most overlooked islands — Naxos — and uncovered ancient secrets hiding in plain sight.
From the legendary Cave of Zeus to abandoned Jesuit monasteries, stone bridges in ghost villages, and timeless terraced hillsides, this island feels like stepping through a portal into another world. This is a cinematic exploration of Greece that most tourists will never experience.
Along the way, we swim in crystal-clear waters, hike through ruins, and reflect on the legacy of the Catholic Church, the Ottoman era, and the forgotten architectures of the old world. There’s a strange beauty and melancholy in these places — where gods were once worshipped and empires once ruled.
