In this episode I recruit my brother to help me service the Universal M25 Marine Diesel engine on my 1978 Catalina 30 sailboat. This is an in depth explanation of how to change the oil and replace the zinc on a Universal Marine Diesel engine by yourself. The process is quite simple and didnât take long at all. Andrew does a great job at explaining the process (amidst a bit of goofing around).
Much to our surprise, the zinc actually broke off inside the heat exchanger, but we managed to remove it and replace it with a new one.
It is a little strange doing an oil change in your living room, but Blue Moon is now ready for summer cruising!
