Welcome to Blue Moon Life!

In part 4 of this mini-series, we got ourselves into a lot more than we bargained for when an easy day cruise turned into the ride of our lives… After spending a relaxing morning on land, we decided to travel home to the docks instead of spending another rough night on anchor. As we got closer to home, the wind and waves started to pick up and we found ourselves in an upwind grind, while trying to time the currents, in order to make it safely to the docks.

In the second half of the video we sit down and recollect on our first experience in rough seas. We decided to keep this chat raw and less edited, so let us know what you think of the style! We’d love to hear your stories in the comments below!

If you are new to the channel, Blue Moon is a 1978 Catalina 30 sailing vessel which we acquired last year. We liveaboard the boat full-time and hope to do a lot of sailing in the Pacific Northwest.

Thanks for watching!
