Spring is probably the best time for sailing and skiing in Norway. During the dark winter I normally sail alone, as not that many of my friends are eager to come to the boat. But in spring the weather and sailing conditions get better, and so does the skiing. That’s when it gets pretty packed on board s/y Sylvia!

I really often get asked why I choose to sail and live aboard a boat above the Arctic Circle even during the winter, and I hope this video can give a glimpse to the best days on board s/y Sylvia, and at the same time answer that question 🙂

Join me this episode as we go through the “new crew member” ritual on board s/y Sylvia (unblocking the heads), get some skiing done and tie to a pretty nice anchorage. We’ll also prepare for our sail to Svalbard (to be shown in the later episodes).
