Join us this week during our Tiny Home Project, as we struggle through the build during the dead of a CANADIAN WINTER!❄
The past few weeks you’ve watched us work tirelessly to rebuild this run-down vintage Airstream trailer, in an attempt to transform it into our modern tiny home on wheels🚌
Completing this build in just 60 days with minimal carpentry experience was challenging enough. But it was also WINTER & without a workshop, things were REALLY starting to get difficult😅
With other competing commitments and both of us working in healthcare amidst a pandemic, we were starting to burn out QUICK.
BUT we were doing our best to support each other, to stay positive and celebrate even the smallest of wins 👊
This episode we build face frames for our cabinetry!
🤔If we did it all over again, we would have crafted the cabinet face frames a little differently.
Although the process we decided on made sense in theory, it chewed up a lot of our precious time (and plywood)! Done an alternate way, installing individual rails and stills, the end result likely would have been the same.
Oh well, we learned something! That’s why were out here doing this all in the first place.
Reminder that it really isn’t about the end result. The growth & reward is all in the process!

WHO WE ARE
We are a couple from opposite sides of the world making life together in a teeny-tiny 160 square feet.
Our current tiny home is a vintage Airstream trailer nestled in the woods here in the Canadian Pacific Northwest! We like to call her Streamy, our adventure basecamp!
Sounds dreamy right? Well let us tell you that it isn’t as easy as it looks & the process of building our dream tiny home on wheels (in just 60 days) was freaking hard!!!
When we’re not enduring these self-imposed suffer-fests (i.e. our DIY projects & long grueling hikes up mountainsides) you’ll find us out on the ocean, living and sailing around the PNW on our little sailboat. She’s a Catalina 30 and we’ve been enjoying the challenge of restoring her & teaching ourselves how to sail!
OUR STORY
I (Allison, the Newfie) met James (the Aussie) while working on a remote island 3 years ago.
A decade working in healthcare has helped us both to appreciate the preciousness of this one beautiful life we’ve been given.
Viewing TIME as our most valuable gift, we’ve been feeling an urgency in our lives to Live All Out!
We decided to make some BOLD moves, hit PAUSE on our conventional careers & work full time, turning our DREAMS into reality.
This is the beginning of our YouTube journey & over the next few weeks we will be sharing our first steps towards making full-time adventure possible.
We’ll be posting weekly videos that document our DIY projects, tiny-home living & our land & sea adventures.
