We have been working HARD, relentlessly renovating this run-down vintage Airstream trailer in an attempt to transform it into our modern tiny home on wheels! 🚌
We had a 60 day deadline & very little carpentry experience but despite the challenges we were still on track and hanging in there – barreling towards our goal of turning this hunk of aluminum into our shiny adventure basecamp! 👊

At this point, we were mid-way through the build and had multiple projects happening all at once. Every project was started but nothing was finished and things were feeling a littttle chaotic to say the least! 😅

Most days it felt like a game of Tetris inside (and outside) the Airstream, as we moved things around from one place to another to make room for the next project underway. We laid awake at night wishing the cabinets would start moving themselves around so that we could have a break!

Last week we were finally able to lay the flooring AND we finished constructing our cabinets! We were so excited to finally get to building our dream mobile kitchen (the biggest part of our tiny home)!

The next step, was to get the cabinets ready for installation. But there was a longgg list of things left to do before we could anchor the cabinets down to the floor in our tiny mobile home.

This episode our tiny home starts to take shape! We get to framing out our bed and closet! And when I head back to work, James takes on another solo project – crafting our Airstream’s classic, curved walls!

To make the curved walls, James has to learn how to Scribe, which turned out to be a veryyy tedious task.

8:10 What is scribing?

Also can we get a round of applause for James who managed to scribe (30+ TIMES) AND film at the same time?!?!?! BRAVO!!!! 👏

Sharing this process with you all has been really rad! We love chatting with you in the comments & really appreciate all your thoughtful and kind words ♥ Thanks for being here and for all your support!

If you’re enjoying the episodes each week, don’t forget to subscribe and give the video a thumbs up! It really helps us out!

See you all during next week’s struggle, when winter finally arrives and we press on through the build while dealing with all the bloody snow!

Until then, Cheers!

WHO WE ARE

We are a couple from opposite sides of the world making life together in a teeny-tiny 160 square feet.

Our current tiny home is a vintage Airstream trailer nestled in the woods here in the Canadian Pacific Northwest! We like to call her Streamy – our adventure basecamp!

Sounds dreamy right? Well let us tell you that it isn’t as easy as it looks & the process of building our dream tiny home on wheels (in just 60 days) was freaking hard!!!

When we’re not enduring these self-imposed suffer-fests (i.e. our DIY projects & long grueling hikes up mountainsides) you’ll find us out on the ocean, living and sailing around the PNW on our little sailboat. She’s a Catalina 30 and we’ve been enjoying the challenge of restoring her & teaching ourselves how to sail!

OUR STORY

I (Allison, the Newfie) met James (the Aussie) while working on a remote island 3 years ago.

A decade working in healthcare has helped us both to appreciate the preciousness of this one beautiful life we’ve been given.

Viewing TIME as our most valuable gift, we’ve been feeling an urgency in our lives to Live All Out!

We decided to make some BOLD moves, hit PAUSE on our conventional careers & work full time, turning our DREAMS into reality.

This is the beginning of our YouTube journey & over the next few weeks we will be sharing our first steps towards making full-time adventure possible.

We’ll be posting weekly videos that document our DIY projects, tiny-home living & our land & sea adventures.

Thanks for watching!

Much love,
A & J
