Hi loves, here is a snippet of daily life in this simple off-grid community in Autumn here in the heart of the Raincoast, British Columbia’s wild uninhabited pacific coastline to the North..
We really feel at home here on Gilford Island in the beautiful Broughton Archipelago… we anchored our small sailboat in iconic Echo Bay & quickly met everyone who lives in this remote off-grid community, which didn’t take long seeing how there’s less than ten people here all year round. We ended up moving off our boat and into a rustic and cozy off-grid cottage here.. after a busy Summer moving our floating home around constantly, it’s felt really good to be in one place for a while..
We acknowledge the Kwakwaka’wakw people, the original caretakers and stewards of the lands and waterways on which this film was created, on the unceded territory of the Musgamagw Dzawada’enuxw First Nations.
