We have absolutely loved our time so far this season in the Bahamas, but it's been a very busy season. We haven't had many days to ourselves where we could just go and enjoy some solitude on the beach with no storms, no crew, and no other boats. So, we are very much going to enjoy these couple of days all alone.
Much love,
Kirstin & Andy

Engine Issue Although their time on the secluded beach was enjoyable, Andy and Kirsten’s day took an unexpected turn when they noticed a strange smell coming from their engine room. The high output alternator wasn’t providing enough power, creating some concern. The Diagnosis Through a series of tests and communication with the Balmar tech support, it was discovered that one of the diodes inside their alternator had gone bad. The crew determined that there was likely a wiring issue causing the malfunction. Resolution The crew has ordered a diode repair kit and plans to fix the problem when they reach the States. For now, they are managing with their solar panels, suitcase generator, and standard alternator. In summary, All Hahns on Deck continues to find hidden gems in the Bahamas and experience a mix of beautiful scenery and unforeseen challenges. Despite encountering an engine issue on this trip, they are learning valuable lessons while enjoying their time on the water. Explore the most recent voyages.
