Fixing our HULL part two - fairing, barrier coat, primer & thing we wish we knew | AHOD 18
Hi all!
After discovering the extent of damage to our boat, Magic Dragon, from Hurricane Ian, we've begun making repairs. Maybe we're crazy to take on this massive repair and refit job, but we're charging ahead anyway. Last time, Kirstin ground out all of the damaged fiberglass around the crack in our hull. This time, we tackle the finishing work.
It's time to start mixing the Total Boat fairing compound and sanding the curve back into the hull. After that, prep a batch of barrier coat primer to finish the job off.
We've had experienced friends and professionals looking over our should each step of the way, and we are thrilled with how it turned out.
