Another Fried Alternator AGAIN after one month! - Adventures of Two Afloat Sailing
In a stroke of both unfortunate and fun sailing events, our alternator pooped out on us just one month after its installation. What the heck!?!?! Thankfully we had our former "burned out" one rebuilt when back in California and onboard. But why again? And so soon?
A few days later, all was good on Kiapa Nui and our short jump over to Moorea was nothing short of epic, with strong 35 knot winds at 140 degrees off. Yes, finally not going upwind for once! ;) Until the main did something funky... the webbing on the first reef tore.
