We continue our journey up the East Coast of Australia. This week we have some perfect #sailing conditions, a night sail which was pretty different to our last one, #explore Fraser Island of course we encounter some problems to solve along the way #boatlife
We leave the sheltered waters of Moreton Bay and head up the coast. We finally make it to Double Island Point. And then we face our fears = another bar crossing. We have heard lots of horror stories about the Wide Bay Bar or ‘the mad mile’ as it is fondly known. A bar crossing where the water breaks and you have to navigate the ever changing sand bar for a mile. We explore Fraser Island and hit a couple of bumps in the road when we have to check the prop in the middle of Hervey Bay and get our chain wrapped around our keel!!
