After successfully crossing the notorious Wide Bay Bar with two young kids on board, we continue our journey north through the stunning Great Sandy Strait.
What started with plenty of nerves turned into one of our best bar crossings yet, followed by an unforgettable night at anchor with glassy water, incredible sunsets, and a chance to slow down and appreciate just how far we've come.
From trolling for fish underway to exploring Kingfisher Bay Resort on K'gari (Fraser Island), this episode is full of the everyday moments that make life on a sailboat so rewarding. We spend a few days relaxing, catching up with friends, keeping a close eye out for the island's famous dingoes, and discovering a playground that quickly became the kids favourite destination.
Oh... and after a dingo climbed into our dinghy while we were enjoying an ice cream, our dinghy earned itself a new name: **Dingo**. 🐕😂
Thanks for following along as we navigate life afloat as a family of four aboard our 38ft sailboat.
