We're leaving the beautiful Whitsunday Islands behind and beginning the long sail south towards Hervey Bay, Queensland! ⛵️
With plenty of miles to cover, overnight sailing with two little kids, and stops at some of our favourite places along the Queensland coast, this leg of our family sailing adventure doesn't quite go to plan.
We stop at Middle Percy Island to rest and recharge before continuing south to the Keppel Islands, where we take a well-deserved break. After months of living aboard and travelling along the coast, we're more than ready to reach Hervey Bay, leave the boat safely in a marina, and catch up with close friends.
But as any sailor knows, the weather has the final say. With storms and strong winds approaching, our plans take an unexpected turn…
