Since I’ve departed on my Winded Voyage, I’ve become reacquainted with sayings like “Getting Even Keeled” in the context they originated. In this case getting even keeled really means getting a new balanced keel for Galopin. It hasn’t been easy, but we’re getting there. Daniel, the one that looks li...

We head to St. Thomas, USVI, get a bit tipsy on the beach the night we arrive, head over to Tortola, BVI the next day, and pick up our Jeanneau 469 (bareboat) for 10 days of epic sailing in the Caribbean.
This week, more varnishing... and not all of it goes to plan but we are making progress. Plus we show you some of the other things that we have been doing.
For those that may be interested we got our acrylic sheet from Simply Plastics.

Sailing to South Africa we stop at remote Bassas Da India for a shark diving expedition!!! It was really sad to leave our beloved Madagascar but at the same time I felt incredibly excited to explore a new continent. We made plans to stop for some Scuba Diving at Bassas Da India, an extremely remote...
The eternal question of shaving or not. Will I or will I not? The beard does not keep me from continuing on with Galopin's projects. It's almost the holidays and my Dear friend Daniel not only helps but is kind enough to invite me to his holiday party with a genuine French touch.
Please m...
This can be a VERY rough passage. We watch the weather and sail directly 6 days offshore from the Exumas to the Caribbean. We start in Staniel Cay in the Exuma Islands installing our new battery bank, then set sail for the Caribbean. This is often a tough offshore passage as the winds are predominan...
Sailing in Madagascar isn't just a sport, it's a way of life for the local people! With our time winding down we prepare Delos to sail to South Africa to escape the coming cyclone season. On our way we take our Friend Florent to a remote village to check out a pirogue he's building. ...
This is a quick video from over the summer I never uploaded and edited until now, it was a beautiful day, we took Bud's new boat to Gig Harbor from Tacoma for lunch.
An (almost) original song by the Foxwell Family. One of our subscribers, a fellow sailor with his own channel 'Just about sailing' wrote a song about his sailing and challenged us to do the same... so we did!
We would love to know what you all think.... but be kind :-)

Madagascar is just one of those places that continues to blow us away! Our friend Rudy drew up a map of one of his favorite spots, which is just a short sail across the bay. We decide to go on an adventure in search of a holy tree, a water fall, and a village supposed to have lemurs and a massive ...
Life on the hard it certainly is. I even got locked in one day and had to make a run for it. And got down and very dirty in that keel pit. But it's not a very big sacrifice knowing I'm going to have a really sound boat. And when I want to go I'm gonna take off
In this video I pay a visit to Doug Jackson at SV Seeker in Tulsa Oklahoma. Doug has a really cool project going on building a 74 foot steel sailboat in his front yard.
Really cool guy, really cool project and someone who I will be doing may video collaborations with in the future.
This year has gone so fast and it seems as though we did so many different things its actually nice for us to look back at these films and remind ourselves of everything that when on. I hope you have all found something to entertain you as well, and please leave us a comment if you have.

We aren't experts and we aren't going to teach the you the right way to varnish your boat... but we will show you how we do it. Cheap, quick and easy, and although the results may not be perfect, they are more than good enough and have made a huge difference to the woodwork in Sea Horse.

Sailing doesn't have to be expensive! Madagascar is a gem that we really fell in love with and it's incredibly cheap living. Amazingly beautiful people, cheap cold beer, great food, and plenty of places to explore. It's a real gem where you can fill the boat up with rum, beer, and ...

Living the dream of sailing off into the sunset means that sometimes you have to live high and dry. Galopin is on the dry dock and so am I. While we’re getting him ready to take on the oceans, home is on Galopin up on stilts. The retractable keel was an issue which needed attention, and it’s a good ...
We set sail on November 23 and left Mindelo, Cape Verde to cross the Atlantic to Grenada, Caribbean. The forecast wasn't optimal and the very light winds were concerning. The first week gave us some sun and company by dolphins but very light winds. And then the squalls showed up on the horizon ...
If ever a film needed a better thumbnail, then its this one... but there is not much you can show that will make this any more interesting than it is I'm afraid.
So this is just a short update on how we fixed the hole!
