Canouan ist eine der ruhigeren Inseln in den Grenadinen. Hier sind kaum Touristen unterwegs - nichtmal viele Segler. Bei perfekten Segel-Bedingungen ging es von Bequia südlich nach Canouan. Baby Max hat das Segeln und die Leinen für sich entdeckt, es gab Kokosnüsse auf hoher See und wir sind Seite an Seite mit der SV Johanna durch kristallklares Wasser geglitten. Wir hatten viel Spaß auf dieser fantastischen Tages...
Barbados war unser erster Anlaufpunkt nach knapp 2 Wochen auf dem Atlantik. In nächster Nähe zum traumhaft weißen Strand und in türkisem Wasser haben wir unseren Anker in der Carlisle Bay geworfen. Eine Woche lang schnorcheln, mit Schildkröten schwimmen und die Zeit am Strand genießen.... ENDLICH AN...
2 Wochen über den Atlantik... als 5-köpfige Familie mit Baby an Bord. Wir waren sehr gespannt auf diese sehr besondere Erfahrung. Zumal es uns von Anfang an äußerst wichtig war, diesen großen Schritt als Familie zu schaffen!

Kap Verde war unsere letzte Station auf dieser Seite der Erde. Nachdem wir Sal verlassen haben, sind wir nach Sao Vicente gesegelt. Die Marina dort ist der perfekte Ausgangspunkt für die Atlantiküberquerung. Westlich gelegen und gute Versorgungsmöglichkeiten zum Bunkern.

Kurz vor der Atlantiküberquerung: Unsere Zeit auf Sal, Kap Verde! Mal eine etwas andere Insel für uns; sehr trocken und öde. Wir sind trotzdem knapp 2 Wochen dort geblieben! Die Locals haben wieder rausgerissen, was der Insel an Attraktivität fehlt!

Die Überfahrt von La Palma (Kanaren) nach Kap Verde - der nächste große Step unserer Tour. Sozusagen die Generalprobe für die Atlantiküberquerung, da wir ja von Kap Verde aus starten werden.
Man glaubt es kaum, aber uns ist nie langweilig geworden. Wir hatten gut zu tun und haben viel Neues erlebt....
Eineinhalb Wochen auf La Palma...kaum genügend Zeit, um die Insel komplett zu sehen. Der Plan, in zwei Wochen 4 Inseln der Kanaren zu sehen, hat sich schnell geändert, weil La Palma einfach eine beeindruckende Insel ist. Wir haben wieder einiges erlebt.

In Lissabon überlegten wir noch, ob wir nach Madeira segeln oder nicht. Nach einer Woche auf der Insel können wir sagen, es hat sich wirklich gelohnt. Wer es liebt, zu wandern und dabei beeindruckende Natur zu erleben, der ist hier genau richtig! Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit!

Madeira ist als erste Insel unserer Reise natürlich etwas ganz Besonderes, denn wir werden für seeehr lange Zeit kein Festland mehr betret...

Nach einem kurzen Aufenthalt in Figueira Da Foz sind wir also endlich in der Hauptstadt Portugals angekommen und haben eine sehr schöne Zeit. Die Zeit verrinnt leider wie im Flug, weshalb wir innerhalb einer Woche erst einen Bruchteil dessen gesehen haben, was wir sehen sollten.
