The time has FINALLY arrived to step the NEW MAST ! This turned out to be a MUCH bigger feat than lowering our old mast with the same process. The new mast is likely twice heavier and so much more is at stake.
I hope to NEVER have to do this again...
Ben continues getting the boat ready with new lithium batteries, and the beginning of our new electronics packacge. We give up our slip in Nanaimo, cast of the dock lines and head out for our adventure to the West Coast of Vancouver Island!
