Our favorite CREW is BACK!!! We spearfish and sail through the south coast of Panama as we prepare for our journey to Costa Rica! We visit Islas Secas, Montuosa, and Jicaron, and have another cruiser over for a catch & cook fish taco dinner. Stay tuned for next episode where we visit Isla Coiba ...
After a first trail at very little wind we now sail the 70 miles behind the Wingaker to Malta. The true wind starts at 10 knots dead downwind and both increases and turns gradually during the day so we have plenty of time to get used to the handling of the new sail.
On our way back to Martinique we stop in Saint Vincent for the very first time with our boat just to grab a local sim card :) Ania is highly motivated to get it! At the same time Bartek has to deal with an anchor emergency. Then puts together one gearbox out of two broken ones and we are back in bus...
This is Race day 1 of the 2019 Nongs Neptune Regatta! I was a 45 mile run down to Fish head island with 25 boats in the fleet. It was a really close race all the way!

The spinnaker came out to help us sail (and race!) in the light airs over to Pasar Wajo on Buton Island. While it was one of our slowest sails ever, I was just thrilled that we managed not to rip the spinnaker... again!
Pasar Wajo was going to be a big rally stop as we were invited to the Festival...

On last weeks episode, our sail departing Martinique was a rather exciting one. WE had immediately hooked a marlin leaving the shores of Martinique en route for Dominica. It took the entire sail to filet the guy all the way into anchorage in Roseau (about 2 hours).
This week, after the catch we ma...
After a couple of stormy days the new 235 m2 Wingaker downwind sail arrives. We install some additional components on the front deck and test the Wingaker for the first time in very light winds.

Those of you guys who have been following for a while will know about our issues with our Gennaker. More precisely, that bloody sail has been a nightmare for us that culminated in the middle of the Atlantic when it split into 2 halves. The sail loft in Saint Martin were great and pointed o...

A Norther is coming and paradise is about to turn to purgatory. We find a haven to hide just in time. Does all this sound dramatic? Well, the fact is with modern day weather forecasting, it shouldn't be.
We were lucky to share all this with Tiki 38 builders Janine and Adrian - the best ship-m...

It’s cyclone season in French Polynesia but that doesn’t stop us from gathering a bunch of friends, getting half naked, and playing in the waterfalls. Click bait aside Ryan drills me, we have fun with an electrified racket, show off our friend’s incredible Polynesian tattoo, and Ryan helps troubles...
I have to admit that waiting is not my prime virtue. We managed to get back to Greatcircle early March but we still have to wait for stuff before we can sail out again. We try to fill the time as useful as possible and our friends in the marina try their utmost to inspire us with their never ending ...
The second part of our time in Martinique was filled with plenty of little projects on the boat and really getting a grasp of the cruising life. We have added another solar panel to the boat for additional power, fixed the water maker, and added a few upgraded features. Everyday we have become a lit...
In this episode, we were nearing the end of the 2018 sailing season here in the 1000 Islands. Sailing in the fall is beautiful but at times (and especially at night) it can be Brisk. Even though it was super chilly at times, Janice still goes swimming! I know, she is CRAZY or she has polar bear b...
