Wind strength here around 25 knots.
Sailing the boat backwards can be very useful. If it’s windy you can just put the boat head to wind and then use the rudders in reverse but be careful – they are extremely twitchy when going astern!
Use the mainsheet to get head to wind – like half a tack and then off you go.
Be very careful not to hit the bottom with the rudders going backwards as they won’t kick up which could result in serious damage.
