I’ve always loved solo sailing, Sailing alone on a Catamaran is a lot different from a monohull though, this I learnt.
I’m yet to decide if I’ll solo sail my Cat on longer passage though as the danger seems to be much higher.
I solo sailed my mono many thousands of miles, she spoke to me on passage...
We made it to the anchorage from the front cover of our cruising guide... only to find it a bit too rolly to stay! But such is life, we found a beautiful 'plan B' anchorage in Green Island instead as we continued our cruise around the San Blas with buddy boat, Boundless.
If you like our v...

Eden, you were amazing, thanks! We spent an unplanned month altogether in this beautiful little town and loved it! So many friendly locals, so many beautiful places to visit. As we sailed out of there and headed north to Bermagui we show you just a few snippets from our stay there.
Thanks for watch...

Today we show you our process for planning a sailing passage, in this case to cross the notorious Bass Strait. We are losing patience slowly, being stuck here in Eden for over 3 weeks now but are still cautious as Catamaran is still new and unproven to us.
Would you have gone?
I also find out that w...
This episode joins Bohemia's crew raising the anchor and setting off for a short island hop, which of course turned into a little race against Boundless, who just happened to be heading in the same direction! We explore the cover photo (of our guidebook) destination, 'The Swimming Pool...
Martinique is one of the French West Indies. It is an island in the Eastern Caribbean that is to this day part of France. We enjoy spending time in the big city of Fort de France as well as smaller communities and rural areas.
Last week we broke some of the rigging while attempting to cross the notorious Bass Straight, this week we replace the entire running rigging with new gear.
A big job but it feels good to now have a solid base.

Uh oh, this episode finds Bohemia's crew staring awkwardly up at the mainsail.... that can only mean one thing, yep it's time to get the sewing machine out again! It's not all work though, and we took some time to explore another magical San Blas island, this time meeting some of its ...
Off we go, across the Bass Straight to Tasmania. We didnt get very far though, first the Jib halyard broke then after fixing that and sailing on one of the job sheets snapped. That was enough, I lost all trust in the running rigging and for the first time ever we turned back. Back to Eden to order l...
We dreamt of reaching this magical chain of islands off Panama's East Coast for years, and now we keep pinching ourselves (or rather the First Mate keeps pinching the Captain!) that we finally arrived!
We hitched a ride on the Boundless Tender to check out the gorgeous island in front of us, I...
This is a pretty focused video on our time in Fort de France for Carnival. What a wild experience! Carnival was quite different than we expected. It was somehow much more a cultural part of Martinique than we expected. 30,000 people in the streets all afternoon and evening for several days runni...
ZANZIBAR SUNSETS. Join us in this video and experience the enchanting beauty of Zanzibar Island - one of the most beautiful locations in Africa! We jump aboard a friends catamaran and watch the sun setting over the golden Indian Ocean... ⛵️🌅🏝
Thanks for watching!
Much love,

Our first overnight passage on our new Catamaran, Trade Runner. Pittwater south to Eden, NSW is about 240 nautical miles and we picked a pretty mellow wind for this one. There is a good south running current about 15 miles offshore so we sailed out there and stayed in it all the way south. A really ...
We're constantly searching for remote islands to explore and the Jumentos Cays in the Bahamas are about as remote as you can get. No grocery store, no services. Just some of the most amazing scenery and clear water in the world!
To get there we have to make it through the extremely shallow H...
We continue our upwind slog out of Shelter Bay, Panama, buoyed by images of the gorgeous San Blas Islands ahead of us! Despite crew comfort being at an all time low, we made fast progress to our overnight stop of Linton Bay and onward the next day, finally reaching the unique archipelago, where we w...
Sailing time!
We leave Nelson Bay and sail south to Newcastle on our new (to us) Catamaran. Its only a short passage and we have chosen a pretty calm day but there are still some butterflies as this is new for both of us!
Enjoy!

Dominica! Not the Dominican Republic. A beautiful island where we explore the rainforests and reefs. Dominica has much less tourism than other islands in the Caribbean and the island is still recovering from Hurricane Maria in 2018. It is remarkable how fast the forest can regenerate, though the...

Uh-oh, looks like somebody needs to take some sailing lessons! We departed on our upwind slog to Panama's San Blas Islands, when the Captain noticed something wasn't right with the rigging: Our mast was pumping back and fourth like crazy as we slammed into the heavy swell! We decided to re...
Moving Time!
The process of packing up our old home (Schiehallion) and moving all that stuff to our new home (Trade Runner) is a big one. Accumulated stuff has to be sorted through, junk thrown away. Then everything needs to be transported over, all of by dinghy (in windy wet conditions) and then fo...
