Ep. 122 ~ Set sail with us as we continue our Mediterranean adventure up the stunning west coast of Turkey! In this special episode, we reunite with our sailing coach and friend, Anthony, who taught us the ropes when we first bought our catamaran, Okaliptüs, two years ago in Turkey. Alongside our loyal little dog Zoë, we embark on a journey to explore the rich history and beauty of this incredible region.
Our first stop is the ancient city of Teos, founded in the 9th century BC by Ionian settlers. Teos was once a vibrant cultural hub, famous for its massive Temple of Dionysus, the Greek god of wine and festivity. Wander through these fascinating ruins with us as we uncover stories from the past and marvel at the ancient architecture.
After soaking in the history of Teos, we set sail for the lively coastal city of Çeşme. Known for its azure waters and charming streets, Çeşme is the perfect destination to continue our exploration of Turkey’s captivating coastline.
