Our auto pilot is not working, our main sail is not furling, the wind is on the nose and we are exhausted before we even set off on a passage along the Venezuelan coast trying to avoid pirates and oil rigs. Most of us cannot eat and the extreme exhaustion causes Irenka to loose concentration when the wind picks up as tries to reef in the head sail quickly without help from the auto pilot. Her fingers get caught in the winch and crushes them.
