An older dude who feels 30 sails the world on a small yacht and tells his live large adventures. Follow him from the beginning when he looks for a sailboat and buys it. Earns his Swiss offshore sailing license and refits his boat. Then sails alone from the south of France along the Spanish coast to Tangiers Morocco. On to the Canary Islands where he learned how to manage in extreme ocean conditions. Continues south to the Cabo Verde Islands, land of the most beautiful people ever. He learns to speak the local Creole language so to better understand the Cape Verdean culture. To enjoy life, feel young and love again. He recovers from hip replacement surgery and sails on to the great African continent where few sailors dare to go. His story is one of an old geezer living the life of a full time sailor with all it’s perils and pleasures. So hang on, eat, dance, laugh, love and discover the world with him and his boat Galopin. It’s their Winded Voyage. A real living adventure series.

M.O.B. or Man Over Board is an exercise every sailor should practice and master. It’s also something one hopes to never have to do. Our skipper Nico was adamant we get it right. It took several tries until we got right, and finally we did. It was our last chapter in our 1000M journey and the final step to get my license. I had to bring all my paperwork to the Cruising Club Suisse in Bern and got to discover the city, The capital of Switzerland. Even though it’s landlocked, it was here that I would get the right to sail the oceans. A beautiful town that was hosting a street music festival. Another example that sailing is about discoveries and new experiences. This is the final chapter of Winded Voyage Season 1 and the beginning of Season 2 which will be coming soon.
