An older dude who feels 30 sails the world on a small yacht and tells his live large adventures. Follow him from the beginning when he looks for a sailboat and buys it. Earns his Swiss offshore sailing license and refits his boat. Then sails alone from the south of France along the Spanish coast to Tangiers Morocco. On to the Canary Islands where he learned how to manage in extreme ocean conditions. Continues south to the Cabo Verde Islands, land of the most beautiful people ever. He learns to speak the local Creole language so to better understand the Cape Verdean culture. To enjoy life, feel young and love again. He recovers from hip replacement surgery and sails on to the great African continent where few sailors dare to go. His story is one of an old geezer living the life of a full time sailor with all it’s perils and pleasures. So hang on, eat, dance, laugh, love and discover the world with him and his boat Galopin. It’s their Winded Voyage. A real living adventure series.

Winded Voyage is really under way! No turning back. We haven’t been on land since we left Port Leucate France. We leave mainland Spain behind for our first major passage. First overnight sail for me and Steph. I though it would be somewhat intimidating to be alone out at sea in the dark, but it was an amazing experience. The moon was like an eyelash barely reflecting the sun’s light which made the Milky Way more visible than I’ve ever seen before. There was no visible horizon line between sea and sky, so it felt as if we were floating in space, cruising in the infinite universe. Then hundreds of fluorescent blue jelly fish appeared under the stirred wake of Galopin. There were stars above and below! At sunrise we saw whales which may have been Sperm Whales. We finally got some wind and sailed into Ciutadella on the island of Minorca Spain.
